Backup info: I'm in Fontana, a small city near Robinsville, North Carolina, with my parents and little brother. My grandparents have had a timeshare here FOREVER and I've been coming here since I was little. There are cabins and trails and little country shops and pools, biking, hiking, jet ski's, boating, it's a little retreat.
Day 1. Wed, March 12th= We got to our cabin, its a 2 story octagon, and its so nice, 2 bed 2 bath, kitchen and everything. I'm glad to get away from everything honestly. My cell phone doesn't work, it kind of sucks, but then again its a welcome change.
Day 2. Thursday, March 13th= Got up at 9, drove out to Cade's Cove walked some trails and saw some old cabins from the 1800's....it was as exciting as it sounds. Raced my little brother down a dirt road, I beat him the first time and he was really sad so I went back and sad lets do it again and he took off early before I got to say go. Went to the grocery store and got some gas, came home I went running (its really hard to run up continuously steep hills) and the came home and ate some pasta and grapes. Bed @ 10:30.
Day 3. Friday, March 14th= Woke up 9, went out to the Marina and looked for a boat but it started to rain so we went to the game room and I beat my mom in air hockey, and took my brother on a motorcycle ride, I got 6th place haha. We went home and my parents took my brother up to the Dam and I went and did some laundry while they were there. They came home and we ate lunch and while my mom and my brother took a nap I went on a walk.
This walk was monumental. I went up a steep trail called the great smoky mountain trail #14. There were a lot of fallen trees and I had to climb through a lot of brush but I eventually went off trail after walking for about 15 min because I could see a clearing in the trees so I climbed up the side of this hill and I came out to this HUGE clearing and there was this side of the mountain that had been taken out, by bulldozers obviously, but there weren't any machinery around and so I climbed up this mountain of clay about 20 feet high and quite steep. when I got to the top I looked around me and what I saw made me tear up. I cannot fully describe what I saw but I can attempt to. I was surrounded by trees a huge circle of 70 ft tall trees and behind the trees i saw the mountains with fog covering the tips. I could not hear anything, no cars, no construction, no cell phone rings or people talking. I heard silence for the first time in my life that i can remember I heard UTTER silence. when i looked down from this huge clay hill a field of greesn grass laid out in front of me, a clearing about 4 football fields. Soon birds flew over and they spoke to each other as I was just standing there, it had been sprinkling the entire way up the trail but it stopped when I got to the clearing. I began walking down the side of the clay hill and the wind picked up, mind you, I am surrounded by a entire FOREST so the trees made low groaning sounds and the leaves whstled in the wind. I will never forget how beautiful that moment was. ever.

I love first period and lunch with my favorite girl miss Brittany Jones. Team supreme.
Schools good, I have straight A's for now. Cross country is good. Ran my first meet last Saturday.
I have SATS this Sat and then work. senior womens meeting Sunday after work, then the 13th i go to islands of adventure with FBLA. whoot!
I'm stressed, no doubt, theres a lot to get straight this year, it's pretty tough.
Im out. New episode of HOUSE. heh.

So yesterday I was up at the school and noticed that they were taking a bunch of old used books out and getting rid of them. I called my boyfriend and told him about it, so he went up there later and asked the guy loading the books if he could have some, the guy continued to explain that absolutely he could have one and he was using the majority of them to send to kids in Africa that don't have the privilege of having books and that he'd bought the books from the school. I'm taking Spanish 2 and Law next year to he grabbed those books and I have them now. I wrote down my schedule for next year and got curious when writing psychology. What does that word really mean? I know that it deals with people and the way one thinks and acts.... but theres more to it, there always is. In my search i bumped into THE VITRUVIAN MAN, Leonardo da Vinci's drawing and notes. its actually quite interesting.
According to Leonardo's notes in the accompanying text, written in mirror writing, it was made as a study of the proportions of the (male) human body as described in a treatise by the Ancient Roman architect Vitruvius, who wrote that in the human body:
* a palm is the width of four fingers
* a foot is the width of four palms
* a cubit is the width of six palms
* a man's height is four cubits (and thus 24 palms)
* a pace is four cubits
* the length of a man's outspread arms is equal to his height
* the distance from the hairline to the bottom of the chin is one-tenth of a man's height
* the distance from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin is one-eighth of a man's
height
* the maximum width of the shoulders is a quarter of a man's height
* the distance from the elbow to the tip of the hand is one-fifth of a man's height
* the distance from the elbow to the armpit is one-eighth of a man's height
* the length of the hand is one-tenth of a man's height
* the distance from the bottom of the chin to the nose is one-third of the length of the
head
* the distance from the hairline to the eyebrows is one-third of the length of the face
* the length of the ear is one-third of the length of the face
Of course I sat here and I did this, it might not be an exact measurement but its amazingly close.

Leonardo is clearly illustrating Vitruvius' De Architectura 3.1.3 which reads:
The navel is naturally placed in the centre of the human body, and, if in a man lying with his face upward, and his hands and feet extended, from his navel as the centre, a circle be described, it will touch his fingers and toes. It is not alone by a circle, that the human body is thus circumscribed, as may be seen by placing it within a square. For measuring from the feet to the crown of the head, and then across the arms fully extended, we find the latter measure equal to the former; so that lines at right angles to each other, enclosing the figure, will form a square.

Well last night Ashton and I went to the mall, we looked at promise rings and he bought me a shirt and himself some new stuff. After shopping we went to see Pirates, good movie, he drove me home and I came home and slept. Work this morning at 7:30, get there and they tell me that they have too many hostesses so they are putting me on stock because they are short. I was so happy, stock is so easy and I can go on my own schedule. Ashton calls me and tells me hes up at CICIs because he was scheduled for 11 but they didn't need him till 5 so he came and picked me up from work and took me home.
Monday: MEMORIAL DAY. Ashton's house, all day<3

alright so i havent been on here in a while
it looks like im getting things back on track, grades, boys, friends. all that good stuff
i need to remember that i have to let certain things come to me and not go out looking for them. like boys.
i didnt look for him
he just kind of popped up.
so heres the plan that im finally sure about
UNF for the first year, its not expensive, i can still get out of my parents house but im close enough to home that if i need something i can get it.
UGA after my first year.
by then i will have enough scholarships/ money built up to attend the college of my dreams.
its hard to think that i still have a quarter left and all my classes are overpowering me unfortuatly, my parents are helping me, i might actually be realizing that what they are doing is trying to help me and keep me away from all the bad shit in the world, i hate it, and im sure i will still retaliate. but its good that im starting to understand.
i need to start living my life and not moping around wishing i had someone elses.
skrew trying to get skinny man, ive tryed and tryed, but shit i love my food and thats that.
ive been excersizing everyday, and if that makes me lose weight thats great but im not going to obsess over it anymore. all i need is to get through these last few weeks and everything will be okay, i know it.
my dream schedule for next year.

5. P.E./ bowling
6. debate
yeah my friends said i should take debate to let some of my anger out in class and not on them.
haha
i got my ipod back
FINALLY
you people dont know how much music means to me.
if this is what being grown up feels like, i want to hurry up and grow up.
